🤝 The First Jack & Gio Collaboration
The Descent Parachute Pants were the first pattern designed together by Jack and Gio — the start of the design partnership that built the rest of the Roughcut catalogue. Inspired by old military parachute pant patterns, reworked for the street.

This pattern is sold without a video tutorial for now. We're actively working with the Roughcut community to build tutorials together, but this can take time. If you choose to buy this pattern, you'll be constructing it using the written instructions and your own sewing experience until the video arrives.

1 Descent Parachute Pants
These trousers give you space to experiment — from eyelet drawcords and statement stitching to patchwork panels and reinforced seams. Whether you keep them clean or go wild with detail, they're built to adapt.
Designed in CLO3D by Roughcutofficial and co-designer Gio — built from scratch, never traced or copied.

Printing Correctly
📐 Printing Box
- Files included for A0, A4 and US Letter
- Print at 100% / actual size — never "scale to fit"
- Measure the 2" × 2" test square before cutting any fabric (has to be perfect)
- Print from a laptop/computer for the most reliable print settings
- A0 files can be taken to a local print shop
- Printed & Shipped is also available if you'd rather skip tiling & sticking at home

✂️ Seam Allowance Box
- Every Roughcut pattern (except a few early patterns like the Ushanka Cap and Duffle Bag) already has 1/4" seam allowance built in
- Cut directly on the pattern line — no need to add anything
- Cuffs, dart and waistband areas may use different allowances — these are stated in the written pattern guidance
- If unsure, refer to the construction notes carefully before cutting
⚠ First Build? Read This First
- This is an advanced pattern with no video tutorial — make sure you're comfortable working from written instructions before buying
- Buy a little extra fabric — knee darts and waistband construction leave no room for re-cutting if you make a mistake
- Don't cut your final fabric until your test square is correct
- Use a cheaper fabric to practise the dart shaping and waistband first
