No dedicated film — here's exactly where to learn each part

This one doesn't have its own build-along yet, and I'd rather say so plainly than let you find out after paying. It's on the list to finish.

Almost every technique in it is already filmed somewhere else: the collar and collar stand are covered in full in the KIRI Wrap Shirt film, and setting sleeves into armholes plus joining the body panels are covered in the Origin Hooded Jacket film. Between those two you have the whole shirt.

Fabric draft — check me

What to make it in

Cotton poplin or shirting (110–150gsm) — easiest to press and collar
Chambray or lightweight denim (4–6 oz)
Linen or linen/cotton blend for summer
Light cotton twill for a more structured shirt

Weights and sourcing are in the materials list that comes with the pattern.

LayeringLayered sizing is being added pattern by pattern — Gio and I are working through them in priority order. Every new release has it from the start.

Never printed a pattern before? The print & tiling guide covers it in about twenty minutes.

Before you cut

Measure the 2″ test square first. It's the only thing that goes wrong, and the only thing you can't undo. Print at 100%, from a laptop rather than a phone.

Buy a little more fabric than you need, and run the tricky part once in something cheap before you touch the good stuff.

Never made a pattern before? Start with the free ones — they're the same system, no risk.
