For years, this jacket got worn in Roughcut content, and people kept asking where it came from — eventually it became impossible to ignore. So it became one of the most detailed sewing patterns we've released.

Years ago, I made a hooded jacket that people kept asking for. It wasn’t a pattern yet — just a Roughcut piece that hit exactly the right feeling.

For a fitted cuff and collar finish, if you're building that version. Use (NEOTRIMS) 2 strips = 100cms x 14-16cms deep

Strong polyester thread for medium-heavy fabrics. Buy at least 500m, or 1000m if topstitching/testing.

Needles

Needles

Use heavy-duty universal or denim needles. We recommend 90/14 for most fabrics, or 100/16 for thicker canvas, denim, or bulky seam areas.

Hood Cord / Drawstring

Hood Cord / Drawstring

Use a round cotton or polyester hood cord, around 5–6mm thick. Make sure the cord fits smoothly through your chosen eyelets without forcing.

Use metal eyelets with an inside hole around 8–10mm. Choose eyelets large enough for a 5–6mm hood cord to pass through easily.

It's a detailed build with several construction techniques worth having some sewing experience for, but every step is explained in full in the handbook and tutorials — an ambitious beginner can build this.

No — the modular front, fly, hood, pocket and lining options mean you can build several genuinely different versions from the one pattern.

Not at all. Pick the combination that suits your build and skip the rest — nothing here is mandatory.

Yes — a full studio construction tutorial plus a separate travel-build series are both included.

Lining is optional and covered in the pattern — build it lined for colder weather or unlined for a lighter finish.
