II / YOUR ROUTE THROUGH THE WORKSHOP

From “I made this”
to “this is me.”

Begin with the free projects. Then follow the skill levels, or choose the next technique you want to learn. The route is a guide, not an exam.

LEVEL 1 / FOUNDATIONS

Give your hands a foundation.

Keep the project manageable. Get comfortable joining pieces, finishing edges and noticing what fabric does as you sew.

WHAT YOU PRACTISE

Straight seams and hems • Curves and shaping • Basic assembly and finishing

WHAT YOU TAKE FORWARD

The confidence to turn labelled pieces into a finished object.

PLAN AROUND 2–5 HOURS PER PROJECT Estimated hands-on time, not video runtime.

Industrial Tote BagSTUDY 01 / FORM & PRACTICE
LEVEL 2 / BUILDING CONFIDENCE

Make the process familiar.

Work through longer sequences and larger pieces. Practise pressing, accurate alignment and clean finishing as the project develops.

WHAT YOU PRACTISE

Bags and garment assembly • Consistent seam allowances • Planning the order of a build

WHAT YOU TAKE FORWARD

A repeatable routine: prepare, cut, stitch, press and finish.

PLAN AROUND 4–9 HOURS PER PROJECT Estimated hands-on time, not video runtime.

Duffle Bag/BackpackSTUDY 02 / FORM & PRACTICE
LEVEL 3 / FORM & CONSTRUCTION

Start thinking in garments.

Explore wraps, collars, pockets and trouser construction. Choose a project for its techniques, then bring those techniques to the next one.

WHAT YOU PRACTISE

Pocket construction • Collars and sleeves • Waistbands and trouser flies where the design uses them • Wrap geometry

WHAT YOU TAKE FORWARD

An understanding of how different panels, closures and details shape a garment.

PLAN AROUND 8–18 HOURS PER PROJECT Estimated hands-on time, not video runtime.

Aero JacketSTUDY 03 / FORM & PRACTICE
LEVEL 4 / DETAIL & DESIGN

Make precision part of your style.

Move into more involved outerwear, denim and technical shapes. Take time over fitting, hardware and the details that make a build your own.

WHAT YOU PRACTISE

Denim fly and waistband construction • Hardware and topstitching • More complex assembly • Modular design choices

WHAT YOU TAKE FORWARD

The ability to make deliberate choices about fit, cloth, construction and finish.

PLAN AROUND 14–28 HOURS PER PROJECT Estimated hands-on time, not video runtime.

'The Descent' Parachute PantsSTUDY 04 / FORM & PRACTICE
LEVEL 5 / THE COMPLETE BUILD

Bring the whole system together.

Apply your accumulated skills to Service Coveralls: a full-body garment that brings several construction problems into one project.

WHAT YOU PRACTISE

Planning a full-body build • Coordinating upper and lower sections • Checking proportions and movement • Finishing a long construction sequence

WHAT YOU TAKE FORWARD

A complex garment made in stages—and a stronger foundation for your own future experiments.

PLAN AROUND 22–40 HOURS PER PROJECT Estimated hands-on time, not video runtime.

Service CoverallsSTUDY 05 / FORM & PRACTICE

Skill labels are project guides, not qualifications. Techniques vary by pattern and design route. Free projects also appear in their relevant levels; they are counted only once in the collection.

THE TIME TO MAKE SOMETHING OF IT

A library to return to.
Not a weekend to rush through.

35h 13m

of linked build films

25 unique videos with checked running times, including Rough Cut and community tutorials. Alternate builds are counted as separate films.

244–524h

of possible making time

Planning estimate for making each of the 30 patterns once. Includes cutting, pressing, sewing and finishing; excludes watching films, sourcing, fitting toiles and reworking.

Your pace.

Your own practice.

Watch one stage, try it, then come back. Repeating a familiar pattern in a different fabric can teach as much as moving up a level.

How these figures are worked out +

Video durations were checked against YouTube metadata on 29 September 2026. This is the total of the 25 verified films linked in the index below, not a claim that every pattern has its own unique film. Shared tutorials count once. Videos are publicly available; the collection purchase is for the pattern files and resources.

Making-time ranges are editorial estimates per project: level 1, 2–5 hours; level 2, 4–9; level 3, 8–18; level 4, 14–28; level 5, 22–40. Totals count each included pattern once. These are not measured customer completion times or guaranteed results. Your experience, machine, fabric and chosen route can change them considerably.

THE COMPLETE DIGITAL COLLECTION

One purchase. Every pattern listed below. Keep making at your own pace.

BEFORE YOU OPEN THE FOLDER

A few things
worth knowing.

Is this a collection of finished clothes?+

No. You are buying digital sewing patterns and their supporting resources. Fabric, hardware and finished garments are not included.

Do I have to be experienced?+

The collection spans skill levels 1–5. Start with a simple project and work towards the more involved garments. Each pattern card links to its own details.

Is there a printed option?+

The Complete Collection is digital-only. Individual patterns may have printed-and-shipped options on their own pages.

Are future patterns included?+

No. You are buying the patterns listed here at the time of purchase. Future patterns may be added to the collection with an updated price, but they are not included with this purchase.

Are all files the same format?+

No. Most recent patterns offer A0, A4 and US Letter; some early patterns are A4 only. Earlier work includes hand-drawn, scanned patterns. Layered sizing varies: check the individual files before printing.

How do I receive the download?+

Use the correct email at checkout and check your spam folder if needed. Open your download in a normal browser such as Safari or Chrome rather than the Instagram browser.

Where are fabric and sizing details?+

Open the individual pattern from the library above, or use the guide inside its download. Requirements vary by garment, size, fabric width and design route.
